BANK OF CHINA TOWER

The actual Bank of China Tower is all over the world famous as well as the BOC Tower. It is just one the most easily distinguishable skyscrapers in  Hong Kong’s Central District. The head office of the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Ltd occupy a number of  the stories of this high building.

The architect I.M. Pei was in fact the designer of The Bank of China Tower. It is 315 metres high and it has two masts stretching 367,4 meters high. At present, it’s the fourth tallest skyscraper within Hong Kong. Originally, it was planned to be completed within 8th August 1988. Having said that,  a number of delays, the venture was started off around a couple of years further and was completed in 1989. It wasn’t occupied until June, 15 1990.

The Bank of China Tower is the only major construction found in Hong Kong that has neglected the tradition of referring with feng shui masters on issues related to the design of the building. Thus, the building was belittled by some feng shui experts pertaining to its sharp edges along with the diverse “x” shapes in its original designs.
