HONG KONG & SHANGHAI BANK
The Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank (HSBC) can be found over the southern side (blank) Statue Square, close to the aged City Hall.
The third construction of the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank was started in the late seventies and concluded in 1985. One of its several impressive attributes is its Asian Story Wall, a multimedia system installation of twin banks of thirty seamless plasma displays showcasing archived bank heritage as well as artworks.
The Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank was designed by Lord Norman Foster and was built by Wimpey Construction. It is one hundred and eighty metres high and has forty seven stories and four basement levels. It’s only got elevators which stop just about every couple of floors and floors are accessed through escalators. What’s additional, natural sunshine is the most important source of illumination inside of the building and sea water is employed as coolant for the air-conditioning system.
